These works flirt with perception. The imagery is microcosmic and macrocosmic: my investigation plays with resolution and magnification. The interplay between the surface, artifacts of the process, and the imagery is deliberate.
My creative impulse has to do with charting and meandering through abstract topographies trying to locate inscrutable ground. Lines of glaciation become calligraphies. The marks record the wandering and desire for that which is gone. These are my landscapes of disappearing glacial regions.
